Dear Morning Bounce…

My fiancé and I have been dating for just over 3 years and we just got engaged. I have a 7 year old daughter and up until now I have been the only one to discipline her. Now that we are engaged and have moved in with each other my fiancé thinks he too should be able to discipline my daughter. I understand that now she will technically be his daughter but I am not comfortable with him disciplining her. Besides we have 2 different styles. He believes in spankings and I don’t.

Should I allow my fiancé discipline my daughter and what should we do about our differences in our discipline methods? I do not want him spanking my daughter. I think it gives off the wrong message, but he believes that is the best way to discipline kids.
