Last Sunday night, an unidentified woman was walking through a shopping center parking lot in White Marsh, Maryland, outside Baltimore. She says she bent down to pick up a stick THAT TURNED OUT TO BE A COBRA!!
It bit her but the vet isn’t sure how a cobra survived in the January weather. The woman didn’t panic, instead stuffed the snake in the bag and drove to the hospital. She’s totally fine and the snake has been taken to a local zoo.

Jessica Simpson is doing something good for those affected by the earthquake in Haiti.
Jess is trying to collect 50-thousand pairs of shoes in 50 days and she’s working with a group called Soles4Souls in order to do this.
It’s also happening locally! A listener named Melanie writes this:
Just to let your team know, there is a better way and closer to home. 4 hotels in the HRM are drop off centres for shoes. My hotel is one of them. People can drop off shoes for this drive for Haiti at Best Western Chocolate Lake, Radisson Halifax, Holiday Inn Express Kearney Lake Road and the Super 8 in Dartmouth. Each hotel will be keeping these until mid-February when the local organizers for “Shoes for Souls” will come pick them up for distribution in Haiti.
