Seriously, who doesn’t want a cool nickname like “The Situation” or “JWoww”?

Military Style Just isn’t for Boot Camp
ATTEN-TION!!! You don’t need to go to boot camp to achieve the new and hot military trend. Score yourself the hottest new trend for jackets and vests in 2010…the military style. The more braided, button-bedecked, high shoulder jacket you can wear THE BETTER. So solute your fellow Halifax fashion troops and march in style!
Think Julia Roberts in Pretty Women
There was a time when Julia Roberts was the only women who would dare to wear thigh-high boots. Well ladies of Halifax, I DARE YOU!!! Invest in a pair of thigh-high boots and it will be the best money you have ever spent. They can be worn with pants, leggings, or a dress — that’s how great of an investment they are.
So remember, “these boots were made for walking, and that’s just what they’ll do”!
Were YOU bitten by a cobra?
Well, if you haven’t you’re doing better than this lady in Baltimore!
Last Sunday night, an unidentified woman was walking through a shopping center parking lot in White Marsh, Maryland, outside Baltimore. She says she bent down to pick up a stick THAT TURNED OUT TO BE A COBRA!!
It bit her but the vet isn’t sure how a cobra survived in the January weather. The woman didn’t panic, instead stuffed the snake in the bag and drove to the hospital. She’s totally fine and the snake has been taken to a local zoo.
Spit it out, Aries! If you’ve got something to say about an issue that’s bothering you, what’s the point in brooding on it and leaving words unspoken?
Stand up for others and you’ll be standing up for yourself in the process.
Turn on the charm. It’s not hard for you to get what you want with the help of a well batted eyelash or two, even if what you want isn’t either good for you or very moral. (Yikes)
It’s not luck, it’s hard work. Exceptional results today bring a smile to your face….something which they’ve found hard to accept in the past. Surely this calls for a celebration of some kind? It is Friday, after all.
Dratted technology. Your ipod won’t talk to you and your phone is on strike. Looks like you’ll just have to do things the old fashioned way – and have a conversation.
If you want to go a bit wild for the day, get on with it – surprise someone!
Today gives you the chance to blossom beyond your wildest dreams as someone very special pays lots and lots and lots of attention to you!
The travel bug bites and it’s important that you do get a change of scenery if at all possible.
Sitting on your hands is never your style, so it’s understandable that you want to jump in and sort out a friend’s life for her – word of advice – DON’T!
With the Moon still in your opposite sign of Cancer, you’re a little slower on the uptake than normal but even so, Capricorn, you need to be learning to say no.
Even though you’d prefer to go your own way, there’s something to be said for group work. It gives you the chance to lead, for a start, which is something you don’t do anywhere near enough of.
On the main issue with someone, you’ll just have to agree to disagree.
IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY:
TV host/actress Oprah Winfrey (1954) shares your birthday today. You’re social and fun-loving. You enjoy the company of others. You have a strong sense of social justice and fair play and you fight for the underdog…..but you’re not always sure of what you want! Lots of good times ahead for the rest of the year and maybe, just maybe, a hook-up or two!
Simon wasn’t even involved!
Kara Dioguardi and Katy Perry got into it hardcore on Tuesday – check it out!
Jessica Simpson is doing something good for those affected by the earthquake in Haiti.
Jess is trying to collect 50-thousand pairs of shoes in 50 days and she’s working with a group called Soles4Souls in order to do this.
It’s also happening locally! A listener named Melanie writes this:
Just to let your team know, there is a better way and closer to home. 4 hotels in the HRM are drop off centres for shoes. My hotel is one of them. People can drop off shoes for this drive for Haiti at Best Western Chocolate Lake, Radisson Halifax, Holiday Inn Express Kearney Lake Road and the Super 8 in Dartmouth. Each hotel will be keeping these until mid-February when the local organizers for “Shoes for Souls” will come pick them up for distribution in Haiti.
