Regis and Kelly Help ‘America’s Most Wanted’ Catch a Killer

A murderer placed just last week on the U.S. Marshal’s 15 Most Wanted list is now in custody — thanks to a segment on Friday morning’s Live! with Regis and Kelly.

America’s Most Wanted host John Walsh appeared on Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa‘s show to promote the 1000th episode of his FOX series, set to air Saturday; during his Live! segment, a Wanted promo aired, featuring the case of fugitive killer Albert James Turner Jr..

Within hours of the Live! broadcast, a viewer tip led to Turner’s incident-free arrest Friday morning at a Concord, N.H. mall.

A former state corrections officer, Turner stabbed his wife Keitha Turner and mother-in-law Betty Joe Frank in Texas on Dec. 27, 2009; several of his children witnessed the crime. Turner had been on the run ever since.

“Thanks to America’s Most Wanted and a viewer tip, Turner will now get a different perspective of what it is like to be in a prison,”  John F. Clark, Director of the U.S. Marshals Service, said in a statement. “The fact that he committed horrible crimes in front of his children makes his capture even more satisfying.”

Exclusive: Brooke Burke Gets DWTS Hosting Gig

Dancing With The Stars has hired a new co-host for Tom Bergeron! Insiders tell Star exclusively that Season 7 champ Brooke Burke will replace Samantha Harris who hung up her mic at the end of Season 9.

As Star previous reported, Brooke posted a message on her Twitter account back on February 16 saying, “Btw, the news about me hosting ‘DWTS’ is true. I am screen testing next week for the job, fingers crossed! It would be amazing 2 be back!”

Then a few days after Brooke auditioned for the part, the former Wild On anchor was overheard bragging around town that she had the job in the bag and it was only a matter of time before she landed the role.

Looks like she was right!

Dancing With The Stars kicks off its 10th season on Monday, March 22, on ABC.

Peek Into Jaycee Dugard’s New Life

After spending 18 years in captivity, kidnapping victim Jaycee Dugard has regained some normalcy in her life – and she shares a glimpse of it in a new interview and home videos.

“Hi. I’m Jaycee,” says the 29-year-old, who’s mostly shadowed in a pink baseball cap. “I want to thank you for your support and I’m doing well. It’s been a long haul, but I’m getting there.”

That clip and some home videos of Jaycee aired Friday on ABC’s Good Morning America, marking her first public appearance since she was discovered six months ago after being abducted outside her California home back in 1991.

In the home video footage taken during the holidays, Jaycee, her mother, Terry Probyn, and half-sister, Shayna, make Christmas cookies. Laughing and smiling with the family she was stolen from, Jaycee says: “I’ve never gotten to decorate a cookie before.”

Additional footage shows her horseback riding, which is part of her therapy.

The two children Jaycee had with the convicted sex offender, Phillip Garrido, accused of kidnapping her — who are 12 and 15 — do not appear in the videos. Garrido and his wife, Nancy, are awaiting trial on charges that they kidnapped 11-year-old Jaycee and held her captive in a tent compound in their backyard at their Antioch, Calif. home. Jaycee has said she will testify against them.

Additional footage of Jaycee is expected to be shown tonight on ABC’s 20/20 and Nightline.

Ke$ha Wants To Be In Katy Perry’s Wedding Party???

Pass! No one wants the aisle to smell like Jack Daniels and covered in glitter!

In a recent interview, Ke$ha expressed an interest in Katy Perry’s upcoming nuptials. As in, she wants to be apart of them. She explained that she hoped Katy would ask her to be a bridesmaid and that her future hubby could introduce her to an available Brit.

Unlikely on both accounts!

Red Carpet Arrest at Academy Awards

There is always someone who thinks that they can get away with this! lol!

Red Carpet Arrest at Academy Awards

Nicole Richie wasn’t the only person who looked out of place at The Oscars — TMZ has learned cops had to spring into action Sunday when a non-Hollywood type ran on to the red carpet.

It all went down around 1:30 PM PST — right before the stars began to arrive.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ they believe a 28-year-old dude scaled a 6 or 7 foot fence, got on to the red carpet and began “skipping.”

We’re told he then broke in to a run — but cops immediately caught up with him and escorted the dude to the ground.

The man was arrested for trespassing — he’s currently being held on $5,000 bail.

EXCLUSIVE: Best Actress Winner Takes the Oscar — and This Diamond Compact!

Courtesy L’Oreal

Not only will this year’s Best Actress winner at the the Academy Awards receive the coveted golden statue, but the lucky actress will also take home another kind of prize: an exclusive compact from L’Oreal Paris and Carelle composed of amethyst rose de France stones set in 18kt rose-gold-plated silver. Embellished with shooting stars and encrusted with dazzling pavé diamonds, this one-of-a-kind compact, valued at $7,000, will be presented exclusively to the evening’s luckiest lady. The brands have already awarded two other compact designs this year, detailed with orange citrine stones for the Golden Globes and blue topaz for the SAG Awards. But for the Oscars it’s all about amethyst, which is believed to help relieve stress, tension and anxiety. See whether Sandra Bullock, Helen Mirren, Carey Mulligan, Gabourey Sidibe or Meryl Streep ends up taking home this lucky gift at the 82nd annual Oscars premiering March 7 on ABC. It’s good to be golden!–David Yi

YOUR DAILY HOROSCOPE

IF YOUR BIRTHDAY IS TODAY

Mercury, planet of communication and the mind, and Jupiter, planet of expansion, are strong on your birthday, which means you will show strength and clarity of purpose in what you say and do. You know your own mind – and that’s rare.

ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

Why fear the unknown? Why stick with things that bore you when there is a world out there waiting to be explored? You’re an Aries. You’re adventurous. Do something today that reminds you, and everyone else, of that fact.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

Friends and relatives will help you out in any way they can today but their efforts will only be successful if you spell out for them what it is that you need. Don’t be afraid to ask for something you may not entirely deserve.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

If you’ve got that Monday morning feeling get rid of it by throwing yourself into some kind of creative activity. Make sure it is something you enjoy – then you’ll do it well and make a name for yourself.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

You may have strong opinions about the issues of the day but you are deluding yourself if you think you can convince other people to change their beliefs. Agree to disagree and leave it at that – or it could get messy.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

You will be somewhat emotional today, which in itself is no bad thing but it could lead you into making decisions that are not in your best interests. Make sure your head rules your heart over the next 24 hours.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

Resist the urge to start anything new. Your existing commitments are enough to be going on with and unexpected appeals for assistance will add to your workload as well. Why make life unnecessarily difficult for yourself?

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

Make the most of Venus in your opposite sign to relax and unwind and, above all, to heal rifts with loved ones. Take your pleasures where you find them, even if your number one pleasure is doing nothing.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

If you allow your emotions to rule you will come up with the wrong solution to a question that should pose someone of your intellectual capabilities no difficulties at all. What is the core issue at stake? Focus on that.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

Stick to what you do best or you may find yourself out of your depth and out of favour with important and influential people. You may be super smart but that does not mean you can master a new skill overnight.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

It’s okay to be assertive, even aggressive, in defence of your interests, but it’s wrong to assume that everyone you meet today is going to be trying to cheat you. Be on your guard but don’t be needlessly hostile.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

It is part of your nature to swim against the tide, to do what everyone else says cannot, or should not, be done, so go ahead and push the boundaries. Not everyone will agree with you, but everyone will respect you.

PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

If you are having one of those days when nothing goes right console yourself with the knowledge that the sun in your sign will make sure everything works out for the best. It’s only life – don’t take it so seriously.
