At the Paley Festival in Beverly Hills on Saturday, the cast of creators of Glee> gathered to greet 2,000 fans and give deets on the show.

We discovered some fun facts like Coldpay and Bryan Adams were dumb enough to deny the hit show from covering their songs. Not to mention the exciting news the diva Kristen Chenoweth is coming back!!!!

Creator Ryan Murphy on Puck and Rachel:
“Yes, they will get back together. But the great thing about Puck is he’s a bad boy so he has an affair with almost every girl on the show.”

On Lady Gaga:
“We’re doing an episode that’s a tribute to theatricality. We reached out to Lady Gaga and she said, ‘Yes, I’d love to be a part of it.’ So we will be doing Lady Gaga this season.”

On Madonna:
“I’ve worked with Madonna before. I admire her greatly and I’m friends with her a little bit socially. I called her up and wrote her a letter and said we want to write up a tribute to you and she said yes and she cooperated in every way possible. We do 10 songs altogether. Jane is going to do ‘Vogue.’”

On a possible guest appearance by Julia Roberts:
“I just finished a movie with Julia, Eat, Pray, Love. She saw the rough cuts and fell in love with the show. I don’t know if Julia’s gonna do it, maybe. But she loves the show.”

Matthew Morrison on Neil Patrick Harris:
“We’re filming right now with him and Joss Whedon. He plays a high school rival of mine. Two years older than me. He got all the girls and the good songs. He’s on the school board and trying to take down the glee club. We have two duets, Aerosmith and Billy Joel.”

Jane Lynch on Sue Sylvester lines that didn’t make it the final cut:

Star previously reported that Tanya Douglas, Jake’s 25-year-old former girlfriend, claims that he was still in contact with her and professing his love even after he proposed to Vienna Girardi.

Now Star has learned that Tanya has taped a first-person interview with Inside Edition that will air tomorrow, March 16. She’ll be displaying personal photos of her private moments with Jake, as well as providing new details about their relationship… and Jake’s indiscretions.

It’s Over for Kate Winslet & Director Hubby

Kate Winslet has split from her second husband, Sam Mendes.

“Kate and Sam are saddened to announce that they separated earlier this year,” said a statement released on behalf of the couple on Monday. “The split is entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement.”

The Academy winning actress — who worked with her Oscar-winning film director husband on 2008′s Revolutionary Road — was noticeably solo on the red carpet throughout award season. In fact, she hasn’t been photographed with Sam – whom she married in 2003 — in nearly a year and they’ve been living completely separate lives.

“Their relationship has really collapsed, but they remain very close friends,” says an insider. “Kate says the passion has left — she loves Sam, but only as a friend. He was content to stay in all the time; she loves to seize the day.” Adding: “They’re just two ships in the night these days.”

For now, Kate – who has son Joe, 6, with Sam and daughter Mia, 9, from her first marriage to Jim Threapleton — remains in the family’s apartment in NYC’s Chelsea neighborhood, Star can exclusively report. Sam primarily resides in the nearby West Village.

“They are being very mature and considerate about the failure of their marriage,” says the insider. “They are extremely civilized about it. Kate wants to make it as amicable as possible.”

For a wino wine lover like me, I just received the best news I could possibly hear. A new, long-term study says that women who drink red wine in moderation stay thinner into middle age. Woo hoo! So I finally have a legit reason to pop the cork on a daily basis. Of the 20,000 women that participated in this study, the red wine drinkers consistently put on less weight than the women who drank white wine, beer, liquor, or no alcohol at all. Why? The theory is that the body processes calories from alcohol differently from calories from food. The livers of regular red wine drinkers develop a separate method of breaking down alcohol, where surplus energy is turned into heat rather than fat. So those calories from your glass of Pinot Noir will get burned off while the calories from your slice of pizza will go directly to your butt. If you weren’t already excited to go out and buy a bottle of liquid dinner, studies also show that red wine can prevent blood clots and heart disease and extend your life expectancy. Cheers to that! Continuing to hit back at former boyfriend John Mayer for revealing details about their sex life, Jessica Simpson says gossiping isn’t the only dumb thing she’s seen Mayer do.

“I thought he was stupid for breaking up with me,” Simpson, 29, said on ABC’s The View on Monday morning.

Asked if she’s spoken to Mayer, 32, since he likened her to “sexual napalm in a Playboy interview,” Simpson said she hadn’t, and then added with a laugh: “And he’ll never have this napalm again.”

The singer and actress, whose new show The Price of Beauty premieres Monday night on VH1, says she’s still feeling the effects of Mayer’s comments. “I’ll walk into a restaurant or something, and I notice that more men are looking at me, but I feel like they’re undressing me,” she says. “So, it’s a little bit embarrassing.”

Simpson reiterated her denial that she and Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan are involved romantically. She was then asked if she would date a regular guy – a plumber, say – after her string of celebrity attachments.

“Absolutely, bring it on! I always need a plumber!” she joked.

Simpson also said she “can’t wait” to have children, and added: “If I don’t have kids by the time I’m 40, my best friend [and stylist] Ken Paves and I are going to have children.” (Still, that’s a decade away.)

Future boyfriends – famous or not – should be wary about crossing Simpson in future. As part of her current fitness regimen, she revealed that she is learning how to box.

“Curb Your Enthusiasm” star Jeff Garlin says he wouldn’t be caught dead on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” … because he says Conan’s nemesis “has no character.”

During an interview with Jimmy Baron from 92.9 in Atlanta this weekend, Garlin — a long time friend and former roommate of Conan O’Brien — claims NBC was “stupid” to replace Leno with Conan in the first place … but says Leno derailed Conan’s chances for success by doing the 10 o’clock show.

Garlin goes on to rip Leno by saying he has “no character” — and says he won’t be caught dead on “The Tonight Show” now that Jay is hosting it again.

Michael Jackson Estate Inks Record, Record Deal!!

TMZ has confirmed the Michael Jackson estate has signed the biggest deal ever in music — worth up to $250 million with a guarantee of $200 million.

The estate made the deal with Sony Music Entertainment. According to the Associated Press, the contract is for 10 projects over seven years.

One album will debut in November, which contains never-before released recordings. We’re told Jackson left enough material for at least three albums of fresh material.

A source tells TMZ the royalty rate on foreign sales is the key to the deal — and 2/3 of the sales of MJ records traditionally have been outside the U.S.

And we’re told Sony gets a two-year extension for the right to distribute the Michael Jackson catalog — to 2017.

The deal was brokered by John Branca and John McClain, executors of the MJ estate.

Gabourey Sidibe might have a weight problem, but it doesn’t mean she’s unhealthy … this according to the National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance (NAAFA). Yes, that’s a real group.

As we first reported, a weight loss company is reaching out to the Oscar-nominated “Precious” star in an effort to help her lose weight and get healthy.

But according to a spokeswoman for NAAFA, being heavy doesn’t always mean being unhealthy. Peggy Howell tells TMZ, “You cannot tell by looking at a person if they are healthy. Fat does not equal disease and thin does not equal healthy.”

Howell also said NAAFA does not encourage people to get fat or stay fat and reminded us, “Achievements come in all sizes.”

Baby names often involve some level of compromise between the new arrival’s parents, and Gisele Bündchen got half of her wish when it came to son Benjamin Rein Brady, born in December.

“I wanted him to be called River because I wanted something always flowing, immortal,” the supermodel, 29, tells Vogue of her 3-month-old baby boy.

Unfortunately, Dad — New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady — nixed it.

“My husband said, ‘There’s no way we’re going to call him River.’ But my father’s name is Reinoldo, so [the middle name] is a homage to him. And it’s like water.”

River wasn’t the only name that Brady, 32, objected to. He was also lukewarm on David and Joaquim, Bündchen told a Brazilian TV station recently.

“For me, there is no name,” she added. “He is my benzinho ["my beloved" in Portuguese].”

In the Vogue interview, Bündchen also elaborates on her love for Brady’s 2 ½-year-old son John Edward Thomas (aka “Jack”), whose mother is Bridget Moynahan.

“I’m so lucky to have my little munchkin, and I have two because I also have John,” Bündchen explains. “We don’t see him all the time, unfortunately, but we’re building a place in Los Angeles to be closer to him.”
