After nine weeks of healthy eating and increasingly difficult boot camp challenges, Jay McCarroll is this season of Celebrity Fit Club’s winner- and loser- with 40 pounds shed from his now-fit frame. “I believe Jay will stick to the diet and we’ll see him be healthier and even more vibrant in the future,” the vh1 fitness series’ life coach Rhonda Britten tells In Touch, adding that the fashion designer has lost even more weight since show stopped filming. Though he lost out on the $50,000 prize, a second place Kevin Federline made a giant leap emotionally in the last episode by apologizing to fellow contestant and ex-girlfriend, Shar Jackson, for publicly breaking her heart. “It was a long time coming. I am so proud of the way Kevin did it. He didn’t hold back; he really came clean. It was a gift to him, Shar, their children, and his fans,” Rhonda added of the dancer, who dumped the pregnant actress for pop star Britney Spears in 2004. Set free by Kevin’s kind words, a fit and fabulous Shar is happier than ever. “Shar is back! She’s dating, socializing, and feeling powerful,” Rhonda said.

For the May cover of Marie Claire, Jessica Simpson went without makeup or retouching.

The reason: To promote her new initiative, “A Beautiful Me,” a program she is launching next month to encourage young women to love themselves and feel comfortable in their own skin.

“I don’t have anything to prove anymore,” says the singer, 29, who once admitted to getting too much Restylane in her lips. “What other people think of me is not my business.”‘

Still, she tells the magazine she likes to get dolled up every once in a while. “If I’m in a mood to go out and feel hot and sexy, I want long hair that I can feel on my back,” she says. “But I also like bed head.”

Although Simpson said she was thrilled to shoot VH1′s The Price of Beauty — which centers on her world travels to discover how other cultures define beauty — viewers aren’t responding. Her show’s March debut attracted around 1 million people, getting beat by a show on The History Channel.

As expected, Jon Gosselin‘s attorney filed papers in a Pennsylvania court on Wednesday, asking for primary physical custody of his eight kids with ex-wife Kate Gosselin.

Lawyer Anthony F. List tells X17online that Kate, 35, is “no longer the final arbitrator when it comes to the kids.” List recounts a recent phone conversation between the former spouses, who divorced last December after ten years of marriage.

“When Kate Gosselin went back to L.A. for Dancing with the Stars, Jon called her right away and said ‘look, I’ll move in. I’ll watch the kids while you’re gone.’ Kate said no.”

Jon, 33, would also like a judge to reconsider the child support arrangement, which presently has him paying $20,000 a month. “It’s ridiculous,” List says of the sum. “I don’t think Donald Trump could pay that kind of support!”

The attorney explained that he and his client “don’t find any fault with [Kate's] lifestyle,” which now has her flying to Los Angeles weekly for DWTS.

“Hollywood has had too much influence on the decisions she’s made as a mother,” List charged. “It’s a problem when she stars using the children because she’s angry with Jon.”

Kate has made a makeshift dance studio in the basement of her home in order to be close to her kids while she rehearses for DWTS. “Putting a gym in her home to practice dancing doesn’t make her a good parent,” List snipes.

Meanwhile, Kate’s attorney Mark Momijan countered to Radaronline: “It’s obvious that [Jon] seems to time his issues regarding the kids to when Kate is doing well…Now that Kate is on Dancing With The Stars and pulling in 20 million viewers he decides to try to amend the custody. Is that a coincidence?”

The cast of MTV’s reality hit is on the loose in South Beach — and filming is underway on their follow-up season.

After arriving in town Saturday, stars of the show have worked out in a local gym, hung at the beach and mixed with locals on Miami’s famed Ocean Drive.

Dressed in their Jersey Shore finest, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “JWOWW” Farley and their costars partied at Ocean’s 10, an American-style sports bar that stretches between two hotels, the Edison and the Breakwater. There, they ate and drank colorful frozen drinks, laughing up a storm, according to an onlooker.

“They were here twice yesterday, for lunch and dinner, while shooting a segment of their reality show,” a source at the restaurant tells PEOPLE. “They loved the venue and all had a great time.”

Still, they may be only warming up in Miami, according to another source, who said they so far seemed to keep to themselves.

“They sat at a rectangle table and seemed to be in a bubble all of their own,” the source says. “They were nice and chatty but definitely did not get out of their own comfort zone. They need to get used to South Beach where people of all different backgrounds converge and chill. Time will tell.” –Linda Marx

Sandra Bullock and Jesse James can agree on at least one thing: They did not make any sex tapes together.

While Bullock denied an Internet report of such a sex tape, James has broadened the denial to also include an online story claiming he’s in at least a dozen sex tapes with other women featuring Nazi-themed paraphernalia.

“The claims of sex tapes are untrue and completely fabricated,” says a rep for James in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE.

James, 40, remains in a treatment facility while Bullock, 45, has stayed in virtual seclusion since reports of James’ alleged infidelity surfaced last month.
