Idol Bosses Getting Desperate!

It seems that American Idol execs were so desperate to get decent judges that they didn’t even test them out together.

Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler will act as the new judges, but no one knows if they have chemistry with Randy Jackson or each other.

“It’s ridiculous not to road test these people before committing … it’s insane,” claims a source.

But no one is freaking out just yet! Supposedly, Lopez and Tyler and not officially signed and auditions with the judges are still a month away.

Considering executive producer Nigel Lythgoe had Simon and Randy go to a strip club together before filming the first season, we’re sure they’ll figure out a way to bond.

But it better be something new! We don’t think Jenny from the Block would tolerate that shiz.

The ratings are in for Tiger Woods‘ latest golf tournament, Bridgestone Invitational, and it looks like they’re down 51% percent from just last year!

That’s come a long way from 2008 when the tournament lost ratings on the sole reason that he wasn’t playing!

Sorry, bb! Nobody wants to watch you anymore!

Let’s hope he takes this better than everytime he messes up on the green and pulls a temper tantrum!

TMZ has learned Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush got into a drunken fight that was so intense … bodyguards had to tear them apart from each other at a wedding reception.

Sources close to the former couple tell us the blowup went down last month while Reggie and Kim were at the L.A. wedding of his Saints teammate Bobby McCray and her friend Khadijaq Haqq.

We’re told Reggie started chatting up Kim about working things out and getting back together — totally understandable, by the way, considering how Kim looked that night (above). But you know how wedding receptions go — lots of booze.

Sources tell us the convo got more and more heated and Reggie got more and more “aggressive due to drunkenness.” We’re told it never got physical, but eventually bodyguards stepped in to “pull Reggie away from Kim.”

At about 1:00AM the bodyguards got a cab for Reggie and one for Kim and sent them home.

Anytime I hear a story like this I just feel so sad for the person because they felt they had no way out and that was their only option! It’s good that they got to Fantasia on time because this story could have had a terrible ending!

Fantasia’s Overdose-Aspirin and Sleep Aid

Fantasia Barrino‘s overdose last night was caused by a combination of aspirin and a sleep aid … this according to the “American Idol” champ’s manager.

The rep just released a statement saying Fantasia ingested the medication after feeling “overwhelmed by the lawsuit and the media attention” surrounding her relationship with her on-again, off-again boyfriend Antwaun Cook … who happens to be married.

The statement continues, “Last night, Fantasia was hospitalized. She took an overdose of aspirin and a sleep aid. Her injuries are not life threatening. She was dehydrated and exhausted at the time. Fantasia is stable now. She will be released from the hospital soon.”

The rep also explains that Fantasia “believed” Antwaun Cook  when he told her “he was not happy in his marriage [to Paula Cook] and his heart was not in it.”

Here’s the statement in its entirety:

Fantasia has always been an open book. Honesty, self-respect, and personal responsibility are values she wears proudly.

Fantasia believed Mr. Cook when he told her he was not happy in his marriage and his heart was not in it. She believed him when he told her he and Mrs. Cook separated in the late summer of 2009. She believed Mr. Cook when he told her he lived elsewhere.

He even took her there. One of Mr. Cook’s most redeeming qualities was his complete devotion to his children. Fantasia fell in love with Mr. Cook and believed that he loved her.

Fantasia and Mr. Cook dated on and off for about eleven months. The pressure of the constant media attention was hard on their relationship. Fantasia gave inconsistent interviews about the status of her relationship with Mr. Cook because sometimes they were on and sometimes they were off.

When they were on, they spent most of their time together when she was not traveling with work.
Fantasia read Mrs. Cook’s Complaint against Mr. Cook for the first time yesterday. She knows some of the allegations in Mrs. Cook’s complaint are totally false. There are others she strongly doubts. There is plenty she does not know.

Fantasia is heartbroken and is sorry for any pain she may have caused.

Yesterday, she was totally overwhelmed by the lawsuit and the media attention. Last night, Fantasia was hospitalized. She took an overdose of aspirin and a sleep aid.

Her injuries are not life threatening. She was dehydrated and exhausted at the time. Fantasia is stable now. She will be released from the hospital soon. Fantasia is a fighter and a survivor. This is not the hardest thing Fantasia has endured.

Fantasia will be stronger, smarter, and better for it. Her work has always inspired her and served as a source of strength. Her new album, “Back To Me,” will be released on August 24th.
