He wants to be a part of it: New York, New York.

Brand-new bachelor Tiger Woods moved into a new apartment in downtown Manhattan over the weekend, a source tells UsMagazine.com.

A witness saw Woods, 34, “introducing himself as the new neighbor,” the source adds.

Last Monday, the multimillionaire golfer and Elin Nordegren finalized their divorce after nearly six years of marriage. The couple, whose marriage fell apart last year after Woods confessed to multiple affairs, has two kids: daughter Sam, 3, and son Charlie, 18 months. The divorce settlement provides for shared parenting of the kids.

“While we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us,” the former spouses said in a statement. “The weeks and months ahead will not be easy for them as we adjust to a new family situation.”

Former model Nordegren, 30, will reportedly spend time in both the family’s Orlando-area home and in her native Sweden: the $3 million seaside estate she purchased in 2009 on the Scandinavian country’s west coast is currently undergoing renovations.

With the demands of performing on her Monster Ball tour, recording a new album and being one of her generation’s top pop stars Lady Gaga has a lot on her plate – but she stays healthy by watching what she puts on her plate.

Since fainting during a concert in New Zealand earlier this year, Gaga has become a stickler for maintaining a healthy routine, according to her choreographer LaurieAnn Gibson.

“It’s all about salsa with grain chips, tofu, turkey slices, hummus and coconut water,” says the choreographer, who is nominated for two MTV VMAs for Gaga’s “Bad Romance” and “Telephone” videos.

Paris Hilton’s mugshots (from 2007, 2006 and 2010)

Mugshot or glamour shot? For Paris Hilton, they may be one and the same.

The heiress, who was arrested in Las Vegas Friday night and charged with felony cocaine possession, struck what seems to be a deliberate pose in her latest booking photo: chin down, head tilted sideways, with the slight suggestion of a smirk tracing her lips.

Hilton, 29, was previously arrested and already has two mugshots – one for a 2006 alcohol-related reckless driving charge and another, in 2007, when she checked in to serve her jail sentence in L.A.

In all three shots, Hilton sports a similar look – one that may suggest the booking photo is no different than any other photo opportunity. What do you think?

Paris Hilton’s Explanation: I Thought the Cocaine Was Gum

When a little white baggie fell out of the purse she was carrying, Paris Hilton had an explanation for Las Vegas police.

“She had not seen it but now thought it was gum,” said an officer’s report.

It turned out the baggie actually contained .8 grams of cocaine, and now Hilton faces felony drug-possession charges with a Oct. 27 arraignment.

While speaking to police following a weekend traffic stop, Hilton denied the baggie belonged to her. In fact, she said, the purse wasn’t hers either; she had borrowed it from a friend.

But somehow, according to Hilton, the contents of the purse were split between hers and the friend’s.

She claimed ownership of a broken Albuterol pill, Zig Zag wrappers commonly used to smoke marijuana, $1,300 in cash and credit cards. But, “She said several cosmetic items inside the purse were not hers,” according to the police report.

Hair styles: Volume control

Hair styles: Volume control

Whether you’re looking to turn it up or rein it in, volume’s just about every girl’s obsession when it comes to hair. We checked in with top stylists across the country for their best volume tips.

Hair styles: Volume control TURN UP THE VOLUME
Fine hair doesn’t have to be flat and limp. Here are some tips on how to pump up the volume.

Understand your hair. “Most of us have combination hair, limp at the roots/dry ends. In this case you need to specifically address scalp and base of hair with your choice of volumizing shampoo, then find a heavier more moisturizing conditioner and only apply to mid-shaft and ends,” says Cyndi Isaac, salon director of Eveline Charles in Calgary.

Maintain a hands-off policy. “Keep your hands out of your hair throughout the day as the natural oils on your hands may weigh the hair down,” adds Cyndi.

Use the right products right where they’re needed.
“Start by blow-drying about 20 percent of the water out of your hair,” says Tony Ricci, founder of Ricci Hair Co. in Edmonton. “Then apply your volume product. I love Tecniart Volume Lift by L’Oreal Professionnel. Its directional applicator allows you to get the product right at the roots, which is where fine hair needs it. Keep blow-drying your hair until it is almost dry, then use a round brush to add some height.”

Don’t go overboard with your blow dryer setting.
“The dryer should be medium-hot. If it’s too hot, the heat will electrify fine hair and make it static-y,” says Ludovic Jan, owner of Opus Salon in Vancouver.

Give your hair a fresh, clean start.
“Make sure you’re using a shampoo that doesn’t weigh your hair down,” says Kathryn Lenarduzzi, a stylist at Blonde Salon in Toronto. Look for a light, deep cleansing shampoo. Kathryn swears by using Kevin Murphy Maxi.Wash once a week.

Get rolling. Louis Hechter, founder and director of Orbite Salon in Montreal, recommends using a roll brush or hot rollers to increase volume on fine hair. When blowdrying your hair, “roll your hair and then loosen the roll to release the brush and use a hair clip to clip the roll into place and then do the second layer of hair,” he says. “Let it cool down—go eat your breakfast, for example—and then remove the clips and shake out your hair,” says Louis. Using this method will give soft, natural volume without twisting the hair too much. If you prefer to use hot rollers, he suggests starting the roller at the middle of your hair—not at the ends—to add volume rather than intense curl.

Your Daily Horoscope

IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY:

Set yourself challenges for the coming 12 months that are way beyond what others would expect of you. That’s part of your problem: you have been living down to other people’s low expectations. Live up to your talent instead.

ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

A creative or artistic project can be taken to a higher level over the next few days, but it will require patience and persistence as well as your usual awesome energy levels. Have you got the staying power? We’ll see.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

If you have promised to do something for friend or family member then you have no option but to see it through to completion, even if you are now having second thoughts. Your word is your bond – it cannot be broken.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

If you get your act together and get to work over the next few days you will achieve something out of the ordinary. You have never lacked for ideas but you do sometimes lack for application. Knuckle down and get it done.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

You are in one of your can-do moods at the moment and whatever goal you set your sights on will be reached in record quick time. Don’t forget to bring other people into your plans as well. Success is more fun when it is shared.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

Don’t worry about whether or not you are doing the “right thing” today because in the greater scheme of existence the “right thing” is whatever you want it to be. If it feels right to you then nothing else matters. Do it.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

There is something you should have finished weeks, maybe months, ago but for one reason or another never got round to completing. Now is the time to go back and get it done. With the sun in your sign you can’t possibly fail.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

You will be extraordinarily dynamic today, so much so that others might start to wonder if you are on some kind of stimulant! The only stimulant you need is the realization that life is a wonderful adventure – and you’re part of it.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

Try not to think too much about what you are doing today because you will do better when you just get on with it. Sometimes you over analyze the events of your life but there is really no need. Your soul will always guide you.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

Routine bores you at the best of times and if you have to follow a mapped out route today you may end up screaming. How did you get into this position? Retrace your steps and find out – and don’t let it happen again.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

You will be more energetic on a thinking level than a doing level today, and that’s good because you need to get your head round certain ideas and concepts that don’t come naturally to you. Think deeper now – do more later.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

Some people enjoy making a drama out of a crisis and it will be your job today to calm them down and point out that life is not so bad – in fact, in many ways it is better than it has ever been. Focus on that.

PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

You should be promoting yourself for all you are worth now, not only because you are worth a great deal more than you have been getting but because you’ll only get noticed if you make a bit of a noise.
