Lindsay “Furious” With Her Mom Over Today Show Interview

I’ve always thought that Lindsay’s mom has tried to be more of a friend than a mom and sometimes you need your parents to be your parents.

Uh-oh. Could the tides be changing in the sea of Lohan turmoil?

There’s at least a storm brewing!

Sources are reporting that Lindsay Lohan is taking extra care to examine all aspects of her life to see where she went so horribly wrong so fast and young. Her attention allegedly has been focused on her relationship with her mother, Dina Lohan, and sources say that Lindsay is none too pleased with her.

Supposedly, Lindsay begged her mother not to go on The Today Show last week, so that her progress could be kept private and out of the media. When Dina ignored that request and talked to Matt Lauer anyway, Lindsay was allegedly “furious” with her.

Now, Lindsay is reportedly putting some distance between herself and her mother, as she’s finally starting to realize that her mother is part of the reason she has so many issues. Furthermore, she’s also allegedly coming to the realization that both her mother and her father are to blame for Linds’ poor upbringing and that her father, Michael Lohan, is not the demon her mother has always painted him out to be.

On the flip side, Lindsay reportedly is impressed by her father’s “seeming sincerity” to reconnect and appreciates him keeping to his work and not talking to the press.

We’re wary of her getting to close to either of her parents, though we are glad she’s finally realizing her mother has had a hand in her crazy just as much as her father.

Tread lightly, Lilo. Choosing sides between your parents could lead you to some dire consequences.

Tony Parker’s Mystery Teammate Revealed

The father of San Antonio Spurs star Brent Barry — whose wife Erin is reportedly the other woman in a Tony Parker love triangle — tells TMZ he’s worried that Brent will be “devastated” by the news.

Tony Parker Cheating With Brent Barry's Wife, Erin Barry

Barry — who played with Parker from 2004 to 2008 — is in the middle of a divorce from his wife Erin Barry … and earlier today, it was reported that she was the other woman who got in between Tony and Eva Longoria.

We spoke to Barry’s father, NBA Hall of Famer Rick Barry, who told us, “I feel horrible for my son. I’m in shock.  I knew [Erin] was moving out of the house soon and SHE was the one that filed for divorce. This is the straw that broke the camel’s back.”

Rick added, “[Brent] is going to be devastated.  I can’t even imagine him going through this … the divorce was hard enough news.”

5 Ways To Avoid Emotional Eating

5 Ways To Avoid Emotional Eating

The holiday season is here, and with the holidays comes tons of delicious food. And while it’s alright to indulge a little bit (it is the holidays after all), it’s important not to go overboard.

Here are some tips to maintain a healthy diet over the holidays and avoid emotional eating:

1. Stay in touch with your feelings. Most of the time, we don’t have a clue what we’re feeling in any given moment. Make it a habit to check in two or three times a day; just before meals is the perfect chance to stay on top of your feelings, before they run your food choices.

2. Be in your body. Most of us walk around all day in a state of half-awareness, not really present in the room, on the earth, in our bodies. But if you’re not in your body, you have no way of knowing when it’s hungry or full. Get in the habit of checking in with your body, especially your belly, during the day. Where are your feet? How do your legs feel? Is your stomach tense, cold, empty, satisfied? Once you’ve practiced this for a while, it becomes automatic–and makes it easier to choose foods based on what your body needs.

3. Examine your cravings. Binges and cravings are fraught with symbolism. The next time you find yourself in the throes of a craving, examine it. What is it about that food that you’re really longing for? If you like crunchy cookies when you’re stressed, is it the sweetness you’re craving, or the texture? Biting down on something hard and crunchy relieves tension in the jaw, and that loud, crunching sound as you chew may literally drown out the noise in your head. If you’re aching for warm eggnog, maybe the temperature and creamy texture is symbolic of what you need in your life: something warm, rich and soothing to fill up empty spaces.

4. Shift your focus. Imagine you’re alone in the house with a refrigerator full of holiday leftovers. Just before you plunge your hand into a box of chocolates, or your fork into an apple pie, quickly shift your attention. Take your focus to something outside of yourself. It may be visual: look out the window at the snow, the clouds moving across the sky, the blush of sunset. Or it may be auditory–the sound of your children playing in the living room, a favorite song. Focusing on sensory input calms the mind, gets you back in your body and helps you stay present. It’s also a fast, simple way to break the chain.

5. Be happy now. We think once we get thin, or lower our blood pressure, or give up sugar once and for all, we’ll be happy. Most of the time, though, it’s the opposite: once you get happy, you’ll have a better chance of achieving your goals. A few years ago, a study found that happiness may breed success, rather than the other way around. The researchers suggested that happy people were more likely to seek out opportunities that would ensure their success. I believe happy people are more likely to stick to a way of eating that works for them, and less likely to eat from stress, depression or anxiety.

News: Morning BOUNCE News

The Justice Department is investigating after an inmate at the Burnside Jail was apparently held about 43 days longer than necessary.
There have been cases in the past of inmates being released too soon by mistake.
Last week an inmate was actually released too early from the jail

Justice Minister Ross Landry says an internal investigation is underway but it appears the latest mistake appears to have occurred within the court service.

Conservative critic Cecil Clarke says Landry is intent on blaming everyone but himself.

An internal investigation is underway

A study has found that raising the harbour bridge tolls during rush hour would make no major difference to traffic flow – so bridge officials have scrapped the idea.

About 32 million vehicles cross the harbour every year

Halifax police have one man in custody after the same vehicle was stolen twice in three days.

A Joffrey Street resident called police to report that someone was stealing her car.

When the two males saw police, they jumped out of the vehicle which was still moving and it crashed into a concrete wall.

After a foot chase an 18-year-old man was picked up, Police are still trying to track down the second man.

A man with a knife threatened the clerk at the Lacewood store around 11:30 Wednesday night.
The suspect was emptying the cash when the clerk leaned out the drive-through window and told a customer that the store was being robbed.
The driver activated his On-star and 911 was called.
Police got there right on time to catch the robber, who still had the cash in his pockets.
A 37-year-old man is now in custody facing robbery charges.

Your daily horoscope

IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY:

Jupiter, planet of good fortune, turns direct on your birthday, which means you need to be more direct in the way you interact with the world. You have so much to offer, so much to share, so stop holding back. Give more and get more.

ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

There is no such thing as chance: everything happens for a reason, and your task today is to reason why you have been denied access to something you desire. Could it be because it might turn out to be bad for you?

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

If you compare yourself to other people you will be disappointed as there will always be others who achieve more than you. Don’t compare yourself to others, compare yourself to who you were yesterday and the day before. And be better today.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

Be true to yourself and don’t cut corners. You can bend the rules if you wish but your conscience will nag at you for not living up to your high ideals and standards. Someone has to set an example. That someone is you.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

If you are finding a simple task difficult for some reason then maybe you should take it as a sign that you need a break. You have been pushing yourself rather hard of late. Think of your health. Your well-being must always come first.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

There is a confidence about you at the moment that is really quite eerie. No matter how tough the past few weeks have been you can sense that the gods of change are about to move the world in your favour. Better days are coming.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

As a Virgo you know that the simplest solution is usually the right solution and you won’t go far wrong if you apply that knowledge to a relationship. Jupiter is moving in your favour again and you must move too – for love.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

What happens today will remind you that it’s always a mistake to assume that things will stay the same. The next 24 hours may not be easy but if you stay flexible and move with the times you’ll benefit in ways you cannot imagine.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

You don’t have to pretend that you are acting from selfless motives. You’re not. Jupiter, planet of good fortune, urges you to put your own interests first today and do only what benefits you. Is that selfish? Maybe. So what!

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

You know that if you go to extremes you will provoke an equally extreme reaction, so why are you toying with the idea of doing something that is sure to annoy a lot of people? You don’t have to stir things up you know.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22- Jan. 20):

You don’t take well to criticism and that could lead to problems today as someone is intent on telling you where you’ve been going wrong. Maybe, just this once, you should show some humility and listen to them. Would it really hurt?

AQUARIUS (Jan 21. – Feb 19.):

You may have to lower your sights a little today, especially if you discover that your cash flow situation is not as good as you would like it to be. Have you been living beyond your means? If so, start making savings.

PISCES (Feb 20. – Mar. 20):

You have achieved a lot in recent weeks and you will achieve even more when the sun crosses the midheaven angle of your chart in a few days time. It’s okay to be ambitious. It’s okay to want to move up in the world.
