Pete’s Telling Friends He & Ashlee “Grew Apart”

Team Ashlee had their turn to tell their version – now Team Pete is telling a completely different one.

Conflicting stories are arising to explain why Ashlee Simpson filed for divorce from Pete Wentz this week. One source earlier in the day claimed that Ashlee was fed up with Pete’s “erratic” behavior, but a source close to Pete is saying that isn’t the case.

According to an insider, Pete is telling friends that he and Ashlee have grown apart in recent years, adding:

“After Bronx was born Ashlee made a conscious decision to get out of the business, but Pete’s heart was in music so he kept touring and that became a big issue in their relationship.”

So, distance didn’t make the heart grow fonder. We get it. But Pete hasn’t been touring for awhile now, has he? We feel like we’ve seen them together a lot over the past year.

This also doesn’t explain why Ashlee is looking for spousal support on top of child support and primary custody. As she already has enough of her own money, the only reason to go after his is for retribution. He had to have done SOMETHING to piss her off! However, this source is echoing previous reports that there was no third party involved with their split.

But then the source added that Pete wants joint legal and physical custody of Bronx, which conflicts with Ashlee’s petition for primary physical custody.

Oh geez. Let’s hope this doesn’t get ugly. Remember guys, you keep telling us this split is amicable. Let’s try and keep it that way.

Hershey’s reveals that chocolate is better for you than fruit

I support this study lol… mmm chocolate but I still really love fruit I couldn’t give it up!

A new study by Hershey’s reveals that chocolate is better for you than fruit

because dark chocolate is richer in health-boosting antioxidants than juices made from blueberries, cranberries and other so-called ‘superfruits’.

Adding sugar and milk to a chocolate bar will dilute its benefits.

cocoa and dark chocolate have more flavanols, an antioxidant credited with preventing wrinkles and heart disease, than fruit.

My go to is always black but I’m excited to see how much color we have to choose from this spring!

Spring 2011 Trends

This season is all about the joy of colour, pattern and shape

and Peter Som Spring 2011

The mood: Unabashedly happy hues were the season’s most exhilarating movement. After the predominance of sedate neutrals in seasons past, the return of vivacious shades enlivened the runway. The best part? No pigment was off limits. Novelty neons, warm reds, magentas and oranges (the hottest hues) set the season aglow.

Styling tip: Fearlessly combine unexpected hues for the new colour blocking.

Your daily horoscope

IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY:

Life is not something that just happens to you, but something you create with every thought, word and deed. Remind yourself of this fact when you wake up every morning – and your days (and nights) will be truly amazing.

ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

You’ll be much in demand today, so promise yourself that you will not accept each and every invitation that comes your way, because if you do you will soon be exhausted. It’s (always) about quality, not quantity.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

Venus, your ruler, links with Pluto, planet of passion, in one of the best areas of your chart. What does that tell you? It tells you that anything of a creative or romantic nature is sure to go well. No, not well – brilliantly.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

Be honest with yourself, and with other people, about what you can accomplish, even if it means you have to let someone down or break a promise you made at the start of the year. Even Gemini gets it wrong sometimes.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

It’s time to patch things up with someone you fell out with for no obvious reason. Why you drifted apart is of no importance – what matters is that you realize that life is better for both of you when you are together.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

Nothing will faze or upset you today. The world around you may be in a constant state of crisis but you will sail through it all without a care. Why so laid-back? Are you in love? If you’re not, you will be very soon.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

You have a glow about you today and others will draw closer to feed off your inner warmth. Don’t let them get too close or you’ll be uncomfortably crowded, but don’t turn them away either. You’re a magnet for good vibes.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

Your imaginative powers are high at the moment and you must find ways to use them for your own enjoyment and profit. You must also find ways to cheer up someone who is going through a rough patch. Make them laugh.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

With Venus, planet of love, on ideal terms with your ruler Pluto you can charm your way into the affections of anyone you please. You’ve always been irresistible but today the whole world wants to be your friend, and more.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

If you are generous to others today they will be generous to you. However, if you refuse to help where help is so needed you will find that your own needs remain unfulfilled. Don’t take unless you are prepared to give.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

The more intense you have been in recent weeks the more easygoing you will be now. Venus in your sign will help you see things in their true perspective, and Pluto will help you act on what you see. A perfect combination.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

If you face a choice between making your own life more comfortable and helping someone who is not as fortunate as you there is little doubt you will choose the latter course. You cannot stand to see people suffer.

PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

You will make a special effort to see the good in each person you meet. You will also make it your business to do good yourself, knowing that it will spread outward like ripples on a pond. You have so much compassion.
