How Lindsay Could Go To Jail Without a Trial

Wow this is crazy I don’t know how she would survive something like that or her career!

How Lindsay Could Go To Jail Without a Trial

Lindsay Lohan could go to jail for more than a year for allegedly stealing that necklace … and it could happen without a jury, without a trial …. without grand theft charges even being pursued.

After doing some investigating, we discovered the D.A. could drop the felony grand theft case completely.  But that wouldn’t end Lindsay’s legal woes — not by a long shot.

Prosecutor Danette Meyers could go back to court and ask the judge to violate Lindsay’s DUI probation … on grounds she stole the necklace.

The judge in the probation case could then hold a hearing — without a jury — to determine if Lindsay did indeed pilfer the jewelry.

Now here’s the big problem for Lindsay.  In a criminal case, the D.A. must prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt — in other words, convincing a jury that there’s a 98 to 99% chance that she did the deed.

But in a probation violation case, all the judge has to decide is that it’s more likely than not that she stole the jewelry — in other words, that there’s a 50.1% chance she did it.

Sources connected with the D.A.’s office tell us … prosecutors believe they could ask for more than 1 year in jail if the judge decides Lindsay violated her probation.

And one final piece of bad news. It’s very possible if the D.A. dismissed the grand theft case, the probation violation matter would go back to Judge Elden Fox in Beverly Hills, who has totally lost patience with Lindsay.

Britney Has A New Pad!

britney-spears-new-home

How lovely! A new home to accompany her new album!

Check out the LOVELY Hidden Hills, CA mansion that Miz Britney Spears has allegedly just purchased (above). The 10 bedroom, 13 bathroom, 3.39 acre village-like estate reportedly features an entertainment complex with arcade, wood-paneled ballroom, a kitchen-sized wet bar, fitness center, poker playing room, guest quarters and staff apartments – all for the very reasonable listing price of $18,900,000!

Holy shiz! This place costs QUITE the pretty penny!

But we have to admit – for as elaborate as it looks, there is quite a noise homey feel to it! We think this will be a LOVELY place to raise the little ones!

Ch-ch-check it out (above)!

Congratulations, bb!

Fashion trend: The maxiskirt

I hope I can pull this maxiskirt trend because it’s so comfortable and cute, I’m just afraid that I’m so short and it will look more like a sack on me.

Fashion trend: The maxiskirt

Are the new long skirts peasant chic or punishingly puritan?

Fashion trend: The maxiskirt
Trend The maxiskirt.

Why? Jil Sander, Marc Jacobs, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Rodarte, Band of Outsiders and Yves Saint Laurent all did it.

Trendology After the hoopla of the ’60s miniskirt, the maxiskirt (the stylish offspring of the maxidress) became a ’70s fashion staple. It had a brief revival in the ’90s but nothing like its Me Decade heyday.

Test drive Legs are so 2010. After seasons of minis, micros, hot pants and jeggings, designers are giving our shanks a breather and swathing them in long skirts. And some of them are real floor-sweepers. I put on a long, silky peach Marc Jacobs skirt that made me feel like an extra in Gone With the Wind. But what does one wear with a curtain? In Jacobs’ show, he paired the skirt with a floaty peasant top, so I tried that and then added a pair of gladiator sandals. Uh-uh. I looked like I should be photographed—the camera’s lens smeared with Vaseline—holding a tambourine, wearing a crown of daisies in my hair and running slow-mo through endless wheat fields humming Valdy’s “Whirl & Twirl & Swirl.”

The problem with long skirts is that they look formal and uptight, not sexy and summery. Dolce & Gabbana compensated for the new puritan length by doing one in a see-through leopard print with lace inserts. My first problem was that I didn’t have a slip that long. And neither did Victoria’s Secret. Only bridal departments have them—in white, beige and black. With a slip under it, the dress looked like something a desperate housewife would wear if she were just getting out of bed to go to the door and seduce the gas-meter man. “Nice negligee,” said Charlotte, whom I sometimes have coffee with in the morning. “It looks terrible under your coat.”

Which brings me to my last gripe about the new length: A long skirt demands a long coat or a very short, snug jacket—but nothing in between. I gave the new maxi one last try. I put on a heart-stoppingly green Jil Sander skirt in nylon taffeta (nice that it has pockets!) and paired it with a small T-shirt. Okay, that was easy. What next? A trench. I have an Aquascutum one; off-white was the wrong colour, but the proportions weren’t bad. I tried a short, tight black motocross jacket and, for good measure, a pair of Converse sneakers. Now I looked like I was going to the prom but could break into a cross-court dash at any second and perform a layup. “You look weird,” said my littlest one.

Verdict 5/10 mitigated. The long and short of it: Children were adamantly against the gown-and-sneaker style combo, but my women friends loved it. Men wisely stayed neutral.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

The planets indicate that if you have a plan and if you make a serious effort to put that plan into effect there is nothing you cannot accomplish. Self-belief is necessary too, of course, but you’ve never been short of that.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

The sun in Aquarius has endowed you with no end of confidence, and you’re going to need it over the next few days. Today though you should take a trip of some kind. You’ll think better when on the move.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

There is no point trying to convince yourself that everything is fine when all your senses, including your sixth sense, are telling you a different story. Something is bothering you and the time has come to deal with it. Be bold.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

A full moon in your sign will help overcome any sense of embarrassment you might feel at revealing your innermost feelings. Even if you are the kind of Leo who rarely gets emotional you’ll want to share what’s in your heart today.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

You have begun a lot of new things since the start of the year but how many of them really mean that much to you? Give it some thought over the next 24 hours and don’t be afraid to be ruthless with yourself.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

This is a good day for getting things done but if you are smart you will get them done by yourself. The full moon in Leo means there will be a fair amount of tension in the air, so keep your distance if you can.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

Sometimes you can be ultra sensitive to criticism and the planets warn if you hit back at people whose opinions you don’t much like today there could be a major falling out. Do you really care what they think? Then why react?

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

You’ll have no problem letting others know what you think and feel – the full moon in Leo almost compels you to speak your mind. Don’t forget though that words, like actions, have consequences. Think before you open your mouth.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

You may or may not come into money over the next 24 hours but you will certainly be thinking about your finances, not least how you can boost your income. Whatever you decide, avoid get-rich-quick schemes. They never work.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

If you focus all your energy in a single direction today you might just achieve something remarkable. There can be no more doubts and no more wondering if you are making the right move. Don’t think – act. And make it fast.

PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

The time has come to get rid of a fear that has no basis in reality. It does not matter what caused it, it matters only that you grow out of it. Stop worrying and start living with purpose and passion again.
