I was sooo shocked about Pia getting voted off as were a lot of people! No one saw this coming not even her I don’t think wow!

I think she will get a record deal no matter because she is the total package, so this won’t be the last we’ve heard of her!

It was the elimination no one saw coming.

Despite being one of the judges’ favorite contestants, New York songbird Pia Toscano, 22, was voted off American Idol on Thursday; she had never appeared in the bottom three prior to Thursday’s elimination.

Judge Jennifer Lopez fought back tears after host Ryan Seacrest, 36, made the shocking announcement.

“I have no idea what just happened here,” Lopez, 41, told Toscano. “I’m shocked. I’m angry. I don’t know what to say.”

Randy Jackson, 54, was equally stunned. “I’m gutted. You were one of the best singers in this,” he said. “I’m never upset on this show and never mad, but this makes me mad.”

Jackson then reminded the audience that “no one is safe; you’ve got to vote for the ones you love.”

Toscano — who Lopez once deemed “out of this world” — closed the show with a performance of “I’ll Stand By You,” which earned her a standing ovation. After the song, she broke down in tears as her fellow contestants rallied around her.

Joining Toscano in the bottom three were Stefano Langone, 21, and Jacob Lusk, 23.

Lindsay Lohan beat out Blake Lively AND Sienna Miller for her new role as Victoria Gotti — and TMZ has learned … Victoria herself made sure that happened.

Sources close to the production tell TMZ, producers were considering both Blake and Sienna for the role — but John Gotti’s famously blonde daughter wasn’t having it, insisting Lindsay get the role instead … and producers loved the idea.

Not all that surprising — according to sources, Victoria is a good friend of the Lohan family … and she often spends time with them on Long Island.

Meanwhile, Lindsay is currently in L.A. auditioning for “Superman” — but we’re told she already has a plane ticket back to NYC for April 12th … to close the Gotti deal for good.

5 ways to update your LBD this spring

1. TAILOR IT UP (OR DOWN)
Find a tailor you trust, and get creative! Bring in the waist, shorten the hem, take off the sleeves. You can even add sleeves right on the seam line: A pretty cap sleeve in delicate lace is bang on trend, and has the added bonus of creating a flattering, ultra feminine line against your arm.

If you have an ankle-length LBD, bring it up to mid-calf—a ladylike proportion that is also one of spring’s hottest trends, seen at Chloé, Rodarte, and Roland Mouret.

2. PLAY WITH LAYERS
For day, sweaters add another stylish layer. To lengthen your silhouette, choose a cropped cardi in a bold bright, like aquamarine or honeysuckle. Swap last season’s boyfriend blazer for a hip-skimming vest, which adds an edgy masculine vibe that feels totally modern.

For evening, pair your LBD with a tailored tuxedo jacket or a slim-fitting leather topper. If you have a strapless LBD, add a sheer or black lace tank underneath—a sexy but chic look that works well for racerback LBDs, too.

3. MIX IN COLOUR
The right accessories can make any look brand-new, and this spring, it’s all about juicy colour and punchy prints. Cinch an LBD with a slim belt in a trendy hue—like dreamy lavender, or the deep coral shown at Jil Sander and Ralph Lauren. People living below the poverty line in Nova Scotia will be getting slightly higher welfare payments.

The N-D-P government says it will invest 18 million dollars over the next year to help 240-thousand low-income families.

The measures mean an unemployed, single parent with two children receiving income assistance will get an additional 420 dollars per year.

Halifax police have issued a warning about bad extascy.

A number of young people have ended up in the hospital because of bad street drugs.

And those effect have been young men between the ages of 18 and 25.

Police say drugs like extascy are being made in unprofessional laboratories by people who have no chemistry background.

Gas is up almost three cents a litre this morning
