Is It Inappropriate to Let My Teenager’s Boyfriend Sleep Over?

My 18-year-old daughter is bringing her boyfriend home for Thanksgiving, so he can meet us.

–He’s not from around here, so he’d either have to get a hotel, or stay at our house.

–I have no problem letting the two of them share a room, but my husband doesn’t approve.

–He thinks the boyfriend shouldn’t even be staying with us.

–Is it inappropriate to let my 18-year-old daughter’s boyfriend sleep over?

–Isn’t she old enough to be spending the night with guys?

OUR DAILY BLOG POST

This is just ridiculous and good that someone was able to catch this on tape the poor child!

I really hope that the child in this video was able to get out safely and that someone gave the mother a good talking too for doing something like this… very careless.

Your daily horoscope

IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY:

You have everything going for you now but the one thing that might hold you back is your reluctance to draw attention to yourself. Your birthday chart urges you to step into the spotlight. Don’t be afraid to be a star.

ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

You sometimes find it hard to change course when the situation demands it, but today you will do whatever is necessary to get out of the hole you find yourself in. It’s time for a change. Make it a big one.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

You may have to be ruthless with someone you have dealings with today, especially if they have been wasting your time on trivialities. Make it clear that you’ve had enough and that from here on in it’s hardball all the way.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

If you start the week in a positive frame of mind you will find it easier to deal with what happens around the time of Friday’s eclipse. You can make yourself happy or you can make yourself sad – it takes the same effort.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

What happens over the next few days will force you to rethink both your working routine and the way you look at your health. What the planets are trying to tell you is that you have been pushing yourself too hard. Ease up.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

Because the approaching eclipse falls in the most dynamic area of your solar chart you will be a law unto yourself over the next few days. Set your own targets and make your own rules. All things are possible now.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

Family affairs have been a bit difficult of late, but you will soon get the chance to put things right. Sit down with loved ones and discuss what has gone wrong – and what needs to be done to bring back the good times.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

No matter how many misunderstandings there may have been in recent weeks the approaching solar eclipse will make getting through to other people very easy indeed. The only danger is you might say too much.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

Keep your spending to a minimum over the next few days, because the approaching eclipse will encourage you to splash out on things that you don’t really need (and probably can’t afford either). Less is more, for now.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

A little bit of optimism will go a long way over the coming week and if you strive to look on the bright side something wonderful will happen around the time of the solar eclipse on the 25th. Strive, too, to have fun.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

Your overriding aim this week will be to find a quiet place where you can sit and contemplate the meaning of your existence. You cannot be bothered with trivialities. It’s the big questions that excite you.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

Beneath the surface people everywhere are pretty much the same, so reach out and make contact with someone who appears to be different – you may be pleasantly surprised to discover how much you have in common.

PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

You will be under a lot of pressure today, but there is no doubt at all that you can handle it, so don’t panic and don’t give others the impression that you are out of your depth. You have what it takes.
