Jennifer Hudson seems to always focus on what makes her smile, whether it’s her incredible weight loss or her 2-year-old son.

But in new interview, the star, 30, opens up about one of the most tragic times in her life: when her mother Darnell Donerson, brother Jason Hudson and 7-year-old nephew Julian King were murdered in 2008.

Hudson tributes her being alive today to her fiance, wrestler David Otunga, who convinced her to be in Florida that day to be with him during a WWE event.

“That’s one of the things that saved my life, because I could have been home with my mom then,” Hudson says in Ebony‘s November/December issue. “He wanted me to come out to Florida with him instead of going to Chicago.”

“I flew out to see him; that’s why I’m still here. I’ve never said that before, and I can’t believe I just said that now. But I didn’t know. He was just like, ‘I’m going to this wrestling thing, and it’s in Tampa. I’m going out there now, so you can come out there and see me versus going home.’ “

–There’s a digital lifestyle and gaming magazine inFrancecalled “Amusement” that has started selling customized video games based on your life.

–Seriously. They’ll take your entire life story and turn it into a video game adventure. They’ll recreate your world, everything.

–And the team behind it features professional video game designers and artists, so you’re going to get a good, legitimate video game.

–Unfortunately, something like that is going to be expensive. Each project is priced on an individual basis, but expect to drop somewhere around $67,000. Yes, $67,000.

–Abdel Bounane is the editor-in-chief of “Amusement”. He says that so far they’ve made a few games, including one that a guy got for his mom that was a fight game between her and the former prime minister ofGreece.

–Another one was commissioned by a guy who cheated on his wife. He was the hero, and every time the character finished a level, her face would appear on the bonuses he’d win.

J.Lo’s New Beau In Trouble With The Law!

It was only a matter of time until the media dug around in his past!

J.Lo’s New Beau In Trouble With The Law!

jennifer-lopez-boyfriend.jpg

We hope Jennifer Lopez likes life in the fast lane, because we don’t think her new boyfriend knows anything about taking things slow!

It has just come to light that Casper Smart, J.Lo’s backup dancer and new beau, has racked up quite a few speeding and traffic-related charges in the past few years. The charges include speeding greater than 100 miles per hour and illegal drag racing, as well as driving without a valid license in 2004, 2006 and 2007, evading electronic toll charges in 2005 and exceeding maximum speeds of 65 miles per hour in 2004 and 2005.

That’s … a mouthful!

At present, Casper has posted the $26K bail to the related charges. In March he pled no contest to them and is now slated to appear in court on Jan. 5, 2012. However, he MUST complete 10 days of community service before this court date. Finally, if he is found guilty, he could spend 90 days in jail and have to pay another fine of $500.

So … we’d get on that community service buddy. Better to put your best foot forward. Hopefully, that will give the judge enough of a reason to show you leniency.

Your daily horoscope

IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY:

The sun links to Jupiter, your ruler, on your birthday this year, which is a good omen in many ways but also warns that you could go too far in one particular direction. Know when to back off – and what the consequences might be if you don’t.

ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

The only thing you can be sure of today is that you cannot be sure of anything at all. If you keep in mind at all times that there is no such thing as a “sure thing” you won’t go far wrong. Others won’t be so lucky.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

You may think that what you are proposing is the right thing to do, and maybe it is, but not everyone will agree with you. If friends and family choose to oppose you don’t push the issue. They’ll come around eventually.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

If you try to have everything perfectly planned before you start a project, chances are you won’t get started at all. Don’t waste time trying to fine tune each and every detail: get started now while the desire is strong.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

You will do the exact opposite of what others expect of you today. Why? Because your daily routine has become too predictable of late and you want to shake things up a bit. Yes, it pays to be different.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

Anyone who tries to tell you that you are going about something in the wrong way will be treated with your usual Leo disdain. How dare they criticize your efforts. At least you make an effort, which is more than most do.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

You want to be taken seriously by your peers, but that will only happen if you are clear in your own mind what it is you believe. As Mercury, your ruler, is now turning retrograde that may not be so easy today.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

Don’t sit around waiting for others to make things happen when it’s up to you to make them happen yourself. There’s a whole world out there waiting to be dazzled by your brilliance. Don’t deny them.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

Everyone is watching you. All eyes are on you. It may be an uncomfortable experience but you had better get used to it as you will be the centre of attention for quite a while to come. Smile for the cameras.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

Do you take on more work or do you enjoy more leisure time? Only you can decide but as Mercury is now turning retrograde you are probably doing as much as is physically and mentally sensible. So, it’s more fun then!

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

Before you move ahead with a creative project it might be wise to get some input from those whose advice you trust. Maybe they will see something that you have missed. It could save you both time and money.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

Can you trust what a colleague tells you? You would like to, if only because you don’t like to think that they might be lying to you, but deep down you know there is something underhand going on. Find out what it is.

PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

It’s not nice when someone challenges what you believe but don’t put your hands over your ears and pretend you can’t hear. Listen to what they have to say – whatever it is you can learn from it in some way.
