She’s so lucky!

Looks like Britney Spears got an engagement ring that will surely give her several platinum records a run for their money!

After Us Weekly exclusively reported that the pop superstar accepted her beau Jason Trawick‘s marriage proposal Thursday evening, she debuted her blingy sparkler when they celebrated the news (and Trawick’s 40th birthday) in Las Vegas Friday evening.

“I heard that Jason didn’t want a giant stone since he wanted to concentrate on the quality and beauty of a platinum setting,” jewelry expert Michael O’Connor told Us of the 3-carat diamond Neil Lane design. “The royal treatment of the ring continues all the way around the finger with platinum set diamonds throughout the entire ring. Only platinum will hold all of that diamond work securely and never fade or change color over time.”

The estimated price tag for the 30-year-old’s new bauble? A whopping $90,000!

Although they’ve known each other professionally since 2006, the pop superstar and Trawick, 40, (who’s also her former agent) began dating in 2009.

“This is something they’ve both wanted for a long time,” another insider tells Us of the couple’s wedding plans. “It’s a way to cement their family [with her sons Sean, 6, and Jayden, 5]. They’re both extremely happy and can’t wait to become man and wife.”

Being the person who gives too much on Christmas!

Have you ever been in the situation where someone got you a gift that was super expensive and you just got them a pair of socks? Here are some tips from Lavalife that help you avoid that :)

–The online dating site Lavalife suggests ……

#1.) If You’ve Been Dating a Few Months, and It’s Going Well . . . Spend Between $25 and $100. If you buy something too expensive, the other person might get freaked out.

–Ideally, it should be something that’s not too extravagant, and shows you’ve been paying attention. However, if you’re not entirely sure how well things are going, they suggest putting an upper limit of $75 dollars on the date.

#2.) If You’ve Been Dating Between Six Months and Two Years . . . Spend Over $100. That’s enough to buy something nice, but not break the bank.

–Lavalife says to pick something that will remind them of you on a daily basis . . . like jewelry, sunglasses, or a new watch.

#3.) If You’ve Been Together Longer Than That . . . Figure It Out on Your Own. Lavalife doesn’t have any suggestions for married couples, because it’s a dating website.

–But if you’ve been together for ten years, just make sure you buy SOMETHING, and make sure it’s within your budget. The one thing you don’t want to do is spend $500 if it’ll make paying the bills tough next month.

–If you’re the GUY, and you’ve been together for years but HAVEN’T gotten married, Lavalife has one suggestion: Don’t buy anything small that looks like it could be a ring . . . unless of course it IS a ring.

#4.) If Your Relationship Is on the Rocks . . . Don’t Spend More Than $25. This one’s kind of weird, but their logic is . . . you shouldn’t try to win them over with your wallet. And at this point, it’s really the thought that counts.

–So buy something that shows them you still care. And spend more than $25 if you want to. Just don’t buy them an iPad 2 and expect it to fix anything.

Does “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” Promote Bullying?

Yes the other Reindeer tease Rudolph but I think the end message is that he was able to over come it and guide Santa’s sleigh! Shows never to give up and things will get better!

Does “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” Promote Bullying?

“Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” is a classic story of overcoming prejudice and proving that everyone is special, right? Maybe not.

–At least one guy believes that “Rudolph” is the story of INSTITUTIONAL BULLYING.

In fact, he thinks it CONDONES and even PROMOTES bullying.

–Dude’s an author and special education professor.

He said that the actions of Comet, the reindeer coach . . . and even Santa himself . . . constitute bullying.

–He says, quote, “What they’re doing to him is to say that Comet is the coach, and Comet is saying to the children, don’t ever play with this reindeer ever again.

–”And he tells him to go home and he bullies him and he mocks him. That should never happen.”

–They Guy is attempting to correct that error with a new book called “No More Bullies at the North Pole”, which re-tells the Rudolph story.

What do you think…Does “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” Promote Bullying?

Your daily horoscope

IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY:

If you use your imagination over the next few months you will conjure up ideas that everyone agrees are touched by genius. You have so much to offer the world, but first you must give yourself permission to dream.

ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

Why stress yourself out when with the same amount of effort you can have a great deal of fun? Get together with like-minded friends and do things that make you laugh – it’s always the best medicine.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

According to the planets you will be tempted to go to extremes in your personal life today, but at work you will look for compromise solutions and be a real team player. Maybe you should take your work home with you.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

Put money worries behind you and do something that makes you feel good about yourself. If you feel the need to get away from your everyday environment just get up and go. You don’t have to ask for permission.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

Promise yourself here and now that no matter what happens over the next few days you won’t overreact. Sometimes you can be too emotional for your own good but you must stay calm over the holiday period.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

A few days from now you may look back and feel guilty about some of the things you said and did, but today you will just say them and do them and to hell with the consequences – you really don’t care.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

You won’t hesitate to help someone in need today. However, the planets warn that a tale of woe you are about to hear is only part of a much bigger story, so make it your business to find out the rest.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

Someone you meet while working or pursuing a creative interest will get your heart racing today. Could they be “the one”? Maybe, maybe not, but don’t be too eager or they may think you are desperate.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

You enjoy doing what others say cannot (or should not) be done, but don’t get carried away and do something that leaves a black mark against your name. Moderation is a must, especially for a Scorpio.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

Do something different today, something no one would expect you to do. According to the planets you have been much too predictable of late, so get up, get out and get noticed – for the right reasons of course.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

You may want to impress someone who means a lot to you but don’t go over the top. The reason they like you (and they do, you know) is because you come across as so sure of yourself. But don’t spoil it.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

You have nothing to worry about and everything to look forward to, and with Venus moving into your sign today you’ll have someone special alongside you to share your good fortune with. It makes all the difference.

PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

Think with your head but feel with your heart. Logic is important, of course, but sometimes it has to take second place to a deeper urge. Listen to what your heart tells you today – and act on it without hesitation.
