TMZ has confirmed … last October, Simon hooked up with a girl he met at Drai’s nightclub in Hollywood. He took her home, but the next morning she was gone and so was his computer and his wallet loaded with cash.
Simon — who has his Bev Hills mansion wired for security — called the cops. The footage showed the woman, cops tracked her down and she handed over the computer and the wallet sans cash.
Although it’s unclear exactly when Simon broke up with fiancee Mezhgan Hussainy, sources connected with Simon tell us it was BEFORE the theft.
Fiancees and strange girls can be expensive.
“I don’t know yet. I’d have to really reflect on that. It depends on how much I’m offered.”
The movie looks hilarious, but it made us wonder…how long is too long to be engaged?
Sure, sometimes things happen, like one of you goes away to school, moves for work, or has to go on a military tour of duty, but what about if you’re not facing one of those hurdles?
“You want to set a date within 18 months after getting engaged,” says Barton Goldsmith, PhD, author of Emotional Fitness for Intimacy. “Research shows that the likelihood that you’ll actually get married drops after that.”
What do you think – Is there a time limit on an engagement?
Experts Say - Relationship expert Paul Coleman, PsyD, author of The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Intimacy, says that the longer an engagement stretches out, the more questions you should be asking—are there really practical reasons getting in the way (you’re finishing school, your guy’s work schedule is insane for the next year) or is there more going on underneath, like one of you has doubts?
If you find that you or your guy is hesitant to set a date, it’s important to be honest with yourself and each other about what you want for the future. Sit down together over a glass of wine and talk about where you’re headed as a couple. Still not sure what the hold-up is? Seeing a pre-marital counselor might help.
That said, Goldsmith says you shouldn’t rush a wedding either. He recommends you be engaged for a minimum of six months before you get hitched to give yourself time to get settled into the idea of happily ever after—and to make sure your guy doesn’t turn into a groomzilla.

IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY:
You may find yourself attracted to a world view that is not very popular with the powers that be. Too bad. You have never been the sort to toe the party line and you’re not about to start now. Follow your gut instinct, not the crowd.
ARIES (March 21 – April 20):
You may think the world is against you but it isn’t – it’s just that you have allowed a minor event to morph into a major issue in your mind. Even if it were true, so what? You don’t need the world on your side.
TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):
Leave well enough alone today, especially on the work front where, if you make unnecessary changes, the results may not be to your liking. Colleagues and employers will not be impressed if you swap things around for no good reason.
GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):
Some people will criticize you no matter what you say or do, so you might as well ignore them and just get on with it. If you are happy with what you are doing then nothing else matters.
CANCER (June 22 – July 23):
You take it as a personal insult when people change their minds at the last possible moment, upsetting your plans, but don’t be so sensitive. They don’t do it to annoy you, they do it because they don’t know any better.
LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):
Be extra careful today that you don’t let your emotions get the better of you. If someone says something unjust, or even abusive, your best move is to laugh it off. Chances are they are hoping you will overreact.
VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):
The reason you don’t get along with a certain person is not because you are so different but because you are so very much the same. You each need your own territory. So one of you will have to leave.
LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):
You’ll go over the top and say things you don’t really mean, and you’ll hate yourself for it when you calm down, but it’s no big deal. It’s okay to fall out once in a while, so long as you then say sorry.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):
Don’t promise that you will do something today unless you are certain you are in a position to deliver. You may want to help someone out but if you raise their hopes then let them down your name will be mud.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):
There are certain standards you live by and you must not let them slip. If you cut corners or take shortcuts in any way, shape or form today you will pay the price a little bit further down the line.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):
You will try to bluff your way out of an embarrassing situation today, but you won’t succeed. If you have made an error of judgment the best course of action is to own up to it. The consequences won’t be so bad.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):
If you are told something in confidence today don’t rush out and tell everyone else. If it becomes common knowledge that you can’t keep a secret no one will confide in you ever again – and that’s no fun.
PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):
Whatever else you do today, don’t try to compete with rivals and enemies on their low level. It took a lot of hard work to get yourself to your present position, where people look up to you. Don’t throw it away.
